Information

Cody Anderson (B. 1993, Gillette, WY, USA) believes that art already exists all around us. His work is thus focused on mindfulness, observation, and documentation. Subjects vary widely but topics generally concern time and value, scale and pace, as well as drawing and the internet. His practice is often durational and tedious, involving precise to-scale reproductions or forgeries, repetitive actions, and absurd cataloging.

Cody completed his BFA at the University of Wyoming in 2016, and MFA at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa in 2020. He currently lives and works in Honolulu, Hawai‘i.

Cody's work has been included and published in the international drawing exhibitions and catalogs: UNC Asheville's 12th Annual Drawing Discourse, and Manifest Creative Research Gallery'sInternational Drawing Annual 12 & 13.  He has exhibited his work nationally at Nook Gallery (Oakland), University of Wyoming Art Museum, Aupuni Space (Honolulu), and the Honolulu Museum of Art First Hawaiian Center.
