Information
I would consider myself a conceptual artist with a penchant for drawing. My work is diverse in material and method, subjects vary widely but topics generally concern time and value, scale and pace, as well as drawing and the internet. My work is often durational and tedious, involving precise to-scale reproductions or forgeries, repetitive actions, and absurd cataloging.
Recently, I was awarded a 2025 Ho’ākea Source grant, participated in group exhibitions NEW DRAWINGS (2025) and Interisland (Contemporary Paintings from New York and Hawai’i) (2025), and had a solo exhibition Folder: MATERIAL RESEARCH> 08.charcoal (2024) at Aupuni Space.
Starting in 2021, I began lecturing at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa in the in the Drawing and Painting area, and also the and Sculpture and Expanded Practices Area beginning in 2024. I hold an MFA from the same school, and earned my BFA at the University of Wyoming.
